MedInTech Showcases AI Endoscopy at ENDO 2026

According to the report, MedInTech participated in the 5th World Congress of GI Endoscopy (ENDO 2026), held in Cape Town, South Africa, from September 24 to 26. The company displayed its AI robotic endoscope, INTION S, and its AI endoscopy software, INTION DEEPEYE, at an exhibition booth. During the event, the company conducted live demonstrations allowing attendees to experience the electric actuation and AI-assisted procedural features of the INTION S system.

The report states that approximately 200 medical professionals and industry representatives visited the booth. In a self-administered survey, 80.4% of respondents were from the African region. Regarding product interest, the INTION S received the highest attention, with specific features like EndoPilot (AI entry direction assistance), ergonomic design, and EndoTrack (AI lesion tracking) being the most cited points of interest.

In terms of user evaluation, 89.3% of survey participants selected the highest rating, 'Excellent,' describing the product as innovative and intuitive. The remaining 10.7% rated it 'Very Good.' Follow-up interest actions included product demonstrations (64.3%), hospital adoption review (42.9%), research collaboration (26.8%), and purchase inquiries (25%). MedInTech also reported completing domestic regulatory approval for the CADx software component of INTION DEEPEYE and holding business meetings with potential distributors in South Africa, Senegal, and Ethiopia.

ENDO 2026 is organized by the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) and marks the first time this major global congress has been held on the African continent. The event serves as a key platform for sharing the latest clinical experiences and technological advancements in gastrointestinal endoscopy. MedInTech is a medical robotics startup focused on automating endoscopic procedures to reduce the physical burden on physicians and improve diagnostic accuracy through AI integration.
